I love my family. I saw this old picture of us pop up on my mom's screen saver and just had to post it. This is the last family picture we took with Dad in it. I can't believe it has been 5 years now. Anyway, so I love being in Utah with my family, you guys rock!

Made My Day
My awesome friend back in Tucson, Sara gave me a blog award! It totally made my day, not just the award but the nice things she wrote. Here is Sara and her cute little family at Mt. Rushmore. I would love to go there! (But I'm not sure there is anything else to see in South Dakota?) I would love to pass this blog on to 3 of my favorite bloggers: Kelli my awesome sister-in-law. Whose blog posts I always enjoy, whose blog design is always so chic, and whose play list I listen to on a regular basis. You are awesome Kel! Isn't my brother cute too?
And Ali my most hilarious cousin. You should be a professional blogger, is there such a thing? I laugh out loud every time I read her blog and to be honest I get excited inside when I see that there is a new Ali post to read! (Now lets see if she even checks my blog to receive this award:)
Stacey & Pierce I wouldn't be a blogger if it wasn't for Stacey telling me she checked my empty blog every couple of days waiting for a post. I love that they both post (What a great guy Pierce!) They are the most faithful bloggers (post almost every day) and they post on a wide variety of topics. Keep it up.

I need a girl
I really hope my next one is a girl. Not just for my sake but for my boys as well.
Oh, and Quinn isn't too excited about these types of pictures either. Surprised?p.s. I love Chase's pose here, showing some leg!
Tally seems to like it too:)

Orem Summerfest
I rollerbladed Jack in the stroller over to the parade. The two of us found a comfy little spot on the grass. When the 16 police motorcycles all went sreaming by on their motorcycles to start the parade their sirens were blaring so I covered his ears. From then on he decided to cover his ears at every sound!I told him he didn't have to but he clamped his little hands over his ears for the bands, the ambulances, the dancers etc.
At least he uncovered his ears to pick up lots of candy! He loved it.
Just as we started home the heavy clouds rolled in and we got rained on. The foothills were so green, white capped mountains shrouded in the dark clouds rolling in. Cool crisp air. I love Utah in the summer, I love summerfest. What a great evening with my Jack!

Backseat Driver!
I'm sitting at a red light and I hear from behind: "Go Mommy! Go, Go!"
"I can't go Jack it is a red light, see?"
The light turns green and instantly: "Go, Go, Green light mommy go!" Of course it doesn't matter to him that there are 20 cars in front of me that need to get going before I can. "Go, Go GO!" This happens at like every light.
And this is just a sampling! I also get the "Go Mommy!!" when waiting to turn left, slowing for traffic, going around corners, looking for an address etc. If we aren't going at least 45 MPH it just isn't fast enough for him! "Go! Mommy, FAster!"
I don't even want to start on the "Go this way mommy, no.. this way, THIS WAY!!" when I don't turn the direction he fancies, how he asks me where we are going about 15 times for every little trip and reminds me if I make any type of deviation.
I end up doing a lot of explaining about waiting for turn arrows, right of way, speed limits, cops etc. What's it going to be like when he is 15? I'm concerned.

You know its bad when...
The squadron calls your husband on a thurday to ask him to go to Kuwait on monday.
You have to cut the vacation you are on short so your husband can pack and get shots for deploying.
Your husband leaves and you spend that whole first night throwing up from the stomach flu.
You go to your sisters house and your baby and her baby keep each other up from naps by crying back and forth through the wall.
But I really know it is bad when my husband tells me he is deploying and I think, "Oh? no biggie, i can be packed and out of the house in a day." Then Day dreaming: Nice weather, sunday family dinners, cafe rio, the 'good' nursery, cousins for my kids, walks up the canyon, mom to babysit, sisters to hang with every day, a funny brother to tease me...Utah, here we come!
