6 years ago today..

We had our wedding reception in this back yard:

I'm glad it didn't look like this though! We were lucky to have good weather on our big day.

I love my Capt he is so awesome!

He sent me this:

A kneaders gift basket!

Not only was it chocolatey, sugary, bready and packed with yummy carbs but he sent it in lieu of the traditional flowers. I thought it was just as beautiful and so much tastier! Thanks babe.

I sure am glad I married you:)

p.s. I found my own flowers to enjoy today, complete with snow!

(A More Real) Love Story

This is so true...

It made me cry! How sad is that? When the husband jumps out of the mini-van It made me want to see Quinn pulling up to our house. I miss that guy! (and the mini-van would be nice too:) Even when I am sick of the dishes and the needy kids it still feels magical when we get away just the two of us.

I'm so excited, just 2 weeks till my hubby pulls in...wonder if he'll surprise me with a mini-van? ha ha

"Eat some dinner please!"

Every night I ask him this.

Even though he doesn't always do it, at least he always makes me laugh.

His plate is well protected by those 3 guns, don't you think?

My mother..

is the 'quintessential' mom according to my cousin, who thinks she would be lonely without all the mobs of children and grand-children in her house day and night, and I agree. Not only does she open her house to all the stray children who come back again and again, she welcomes us and always cries when we leave. I love you mom!
