Sunglasses for the Poll

Here is a pic of us on our way to the airport to pick up Quinn. Please take the poll at the right in referance to these new sunglasses....I won't tell you what Quinn said about them!

Quinn is Home! (Again)

We had a great time picking Quinn up at the airport and going to temple square with our boys. It was a beautiful day and temple square was so peaceful and nice.

These are the sunglasses refered to in the poll at the right ->

Jack loved seeing the 'Big Jesus' It is fun for us that he is learning about Christ and the temple.

Homemakers!

Becca and I made peach Jam! We used over 80 peaches and ended up with 29 jars of various sizes. Becca was so proud of us. "I thought you had to be like a mom to make jam!...well, I guess you are a mom!" Glad I could be a mom so you could finally make Jam Becca :)

Mushing the peaches, squishy!
Some of our many jars!

Picnic

Picnic at the park with Mark, Julie and our kids!

I love this picture of the kids!
The three pics below are of the contest mark made up for the grown-ups. See how many times you could go back and forth on the slider. Mark killed us, but I beat Julie. (Julz showed me up on the 'lift your legs over the bar' contest)

Finger Painting

Pudding Paint
I made Banana pudding on sunday and then we dyed it to make it into finger paint! Jack loved getting his hands into it, it kept his attention for like 45 min!

Side note: I let him put the green coloring in, so there was a lot of green dye in it. He also ended up eating most of the green before we even got started....his poop that night was the greenest I have ever seen! Ha Ha, guess it had to come out somewhere:)

1st Haircut

Chase had his first real haircut today. My mom held his head still and sung to him while I cut it. He didn't even cry! What a sweetie.

Doesn't he look like a little Dapper Dan Man?
Also pictured are the clippers I used to cut with and you can the clump of his little blond hair that I cut off.

Stacey and Pierce's wedding yesterday was awesome! They were married in the SLC Temple and then had a beautiful luncheon at the Lion House afterward. It was so fun to catch up with some cousins I haven't seen in years!
Some of my favorite cousins, Dain and Kylee. (also, Mark and Kel...also favorites:)
The happy couple! Isn't her dress awesome?!?

Jessica left yesterday, so sad :( She is so cute isn't she?

My Chase was my little friend yesterday....and everyday. What a sweet little baby.

Primary Swim Party
The ward here had a primary party at the park in the cul-de-sac so even though Jack is only in Nursery he joined in and had a great time.

Grandma helping him start out on the little slide, catching some air!

Waiting in line with his cousins for the big slide
Wahoo! He was so brave, he just jumped down that slide over and over again.

Canyon coming down..

Eli face first!

Canyon, Dallin and Eli were awesome with Jack, they stuck with him and helped him up the slide every time. Jack was shaking because of the freezing water...here Dallin is trying to warm him up.

As always our Cheerful Chase was happily sitting by on the sidelines.

Best Friends

Jack is so happy to be in Utah. When we drove up he saw where we were and got so excited, then as we pulled in the garage he burst out crying because he thought we weren't going to let him play with the kids. Shelby loves him, and the feeling is mutual. When they see each other after being apart for a long time (like an hour, over night or for naps) they run to each other. He grabs onto her with his arms and legs, she picks him up (she is not much bigger than him!) and they start laughing till they usually fall over. I need to get a pic of that! Here they are happily posing for a pic together...BFFs:

"No, we are not here for long..."

I have decided that when people ask us, "Oh, so are you going to be here for awhile?" I should just say, "Thats highly unlikely." Honestly, when am I going to learn my lesson? Every time Quinn comes home from a deployment I think to myself, "Well, we are finally going to be here for a good long time" (Meaning like 6 months) But it always happens that before too long he is off again and so are we. The latest was on Wednesday when he called me from work and asked me if I would mind if he goes to a 3 week training. Of course not! You've only deployed 3 times in less than 2 years, why would I mind another month? Ha ha, anyway, so he found out for sure on Thursday and we were in Utah by Friday. The great part is that I made it here just in time to surprise one of my dearest friends Becca at her bridal shower, yeah! I will be here for my cousin Stacy's wedding, Becca's wedding and I get to miss most of the August heat in Tucson so here's to looking on the bright side of life... there is always a reason it is great to be right where you are:)
