Nixon Grandboys

Four of them, ages 4, 3(almost), 2, and 1.
How cute are they?
We took like 50 pics of them, none of them have more than one boy smiling at a time.

I told Chase he looks like a Missionary Boy.
He is growing up so fast:)

Deployed

Is it just me or is it crazy that my husband is gone all the time?!

Here he is, the commander with his crew.
(He is the second from the left, it is hard to tell!)
He does look hot packing heat doesn't he?

I don't know about the mustache though.

We miss you Capt N.

Is that a Leg Warmer?

on my son?
Sure looks like a leg warmer.

It's not.

I thought he had taken one of his socks off, where did he put it?. As I removed his pants for bath time I found it... just a little farther up than I expected!

And to think the sock didn't even have a hole in it when I put it on him this morning. He must have played really hard today.

The Big-Wheel Brigade

Big-wheel boys in action!
Jack is so glad Grandma and Grandpa brought his big-wheel to him!

Chase looking through his binoculars. How funny is he?

I just happened to look up and saw him watching the kids this way. He was gracious enough to turn his attention in my direction so I could capture his cuteness.

Grandma & Grandpa Nixon

We were all super excited to have my in-laws come to visit, we love having them around!

They came bearing gifts for Jack's birthday. Oh, the perfect gifts by the way:
Six Shooters with Holsters
What more could a boy want?
They are wise grandparents: 2 sets of guns ....no fighting over who gets it, just a lot of good old shoot 'em up play.
I have to note that when she asked the people at Toys 'R Us
where the toy guns were they were aghast!
"We don't carry ANY GUNS!"
Oh geeze! Liberals.

The gigantic bubbles were a hit

Chase, this morning, in all his splendor.
Diaper-check
Holster/guns- check
Thats really all you need for the day, right?

St. Patty's Day

I was excited for St. Pats day as Jack is obsessed with the color green. I knew he would love it! We had green cereal in honor of the day. Life for Chase, Oatmeal for Jack, Kashi for Mom. I was worried the green would freak Chase out but he loved it.
Jack hated it! He refused to eat. Just when I think I know my kids...

Birthday Boy

My little sweet Jack is 4!!
I love this boy, he is a super powered sweetheart. He is all rough and tumble boy. Always pretending to be some fierce animal, great warrior, or stealthy sleuth. Yet he never looses his tender heart and is always caring for the people around him. I love you Jack!

Here he is fresh home from being the Birthday King and Preschool and inspecting his cake.
Getting ready for the party, Buzz Lightyear style!

Someone is here!! The party begins!

Ring-around-the-Rosies and Duck-Duck-Goose
"Heavy, heavy hang over thy poor head what do you wish with a bonk on the head?!"

Smash that Pinata!

When that one last candle wouldn't go with conventional blowing....
He used super powered blowing!!
