Wireless

Chase got his chest tube out yesterday, yeah!! It was a pretty quick and painless procedure. The gave him a shot of morphine and had another on hand just in case. He didn't need it and Quinn was bummed that they wouldn't give the extra morphine to dads.

Chase was also able to come off the monitors for his respratory rate and eeg. 4 days ago he had 7 tubes and wires connecting him at all times: oxygen, O2 saturation, respratory rate, heart rate, blood pressure, chest tube, and IV. Now he is down to 1! No more 'transformer man'.

Chase continues to have spiking fevers that are unexplained. Drs are starting to wonder if they are caused by the antibiotic (somewhat common). He also has a bunch of airbubbles in his tissues around his chest, back and neck on the left side. These are not common and we are really hoping they start to resolve on their own.

Thank you for all your words of encouragement and love!

Well that is great news. Sorry for the air bubbles. I had some in my neck after my shoulder surgery. It helped when someone would massage them. It hurt but then after it was done it made them not as bad.
Prayers are still being said for your sweet little Chase.
