8 years

ago tomorrow this was us:

So fun to see me and my Dad, it was a wonderful day and especially great to have him there.
I loved my cake and i loved the setting with Timp in the background.
My mom hates it when people smash the cake into each others faces but I don't, it was super fun!

So much fun!!  I remember driving away from the reception and telling Quinn that it really had been the most fun day of my entire life.  I wish we could do it all again.  See all our family and friends together and celebrate our love.
Oh what a joyful occasion.  I don't think either of us knew quite what we were in for but even for all the craziness it has worked out lovely.
We are going to celebrate in style tomorrow.  Quinn has the day off.  We have a sitter for the kids and we are going to go explore the San Felipe springs (also known as the "bean dip".  wonder why? think about it..hint: we are very close to the border).  Do a little floating, a little swimming and hopefully have a carefree and grand old time, just like the old days:)
I love you Quinn!!

The kids...

Life lately in pictures.

Lost of love for the little star of the family

I love these boys faces, and it makes me laugh that Tessa looks like she is so surprised about what she is finding in that egg.

When Jack went into Tessa's room to see her after her nap he found her standing.  He was so excited, "MOM!!  you have got ot see this!"   So, lots of pics to remember the occasion and then hurry and put the mattress down of the lowest setting.  With all tile floors I don't want to take any chances of that baby girl landing on her head.
She pulls up to stand everywhere.
Pony tail!!  Another big moment.  So adorable. You can also see the two little teeth in this pic.

The hair is a little crazy after the ponytail.

And the boys are loving the trampoline, of course.

The End

Our house is a very very very fine house..

And I have been wanting to show you around. Trouble is, this whole moving in thing is taking awhile. I finally have one room 'done'! So I will share. It is only fitting that the little person with all the attention around here gets to have her room finished first. Here is the little lady herself performing her army crawl toward me to grab the camera. The ugly before pic. The walls were painted a slightly neon green with a lovely 90s sponge motif. It was really gag. The picture really doesn't do the ugliness justice. it was so glaring! Luckily the rest of the house is a nice light tan color.
We did a fresh coat of a creamy, warm, lovely creamish color. So soothing to the eyes.
The paint is the perfect background to for the friendly little woodland scene stickers I got like 8 months ago and have been waiting to use. So cute!
This fitting little ditty hangs over our Tessa baby's bed.
Close up of the bed skirt I finished just today, bravo for me for getting out the sewing machine finally! This is the chair where all the cuddling, nursing, reading and loving happen. I love being here more than any other place in the house (my bed runs a close second...sleep, mmmm)Still missing a curtain panel, dang you Wal mart for not having it in stock! I still need to order it on line. One more thing on the to-do list

Her sweet little bears who keep the dresser warm and make nice companions for the LOVE lamp. Quinn and I joke about her bears of all nationalities: left to right: black, asian, white.I guess I can post a pic of the front of the house since it is 'done' too. I really like the trees and landscaping. I love the inside of the house but the all brown exterior doesn't get me excited. Just a nice solid shell for our happy home:)
Hope there will be more room tours in the near future!
