Breastfeeding

I glanced over while washing the dishes to see Jack in this position under Chase. I said, "What is Jack doing?" To which Quinn replied, "I think he is breast feeding him!"
It is funny the things your kids learn, he never really seemed to notice much when I feed Chase...guess I was wrong.

I think it is cute when he wants to floss his teeth with me. Maybe he will be the one kid in the world who flosses his teeth regularly...NOT!

Couches!!

We got brand new couches! Yeah! I mentioned them a couple of posts ago and then people wanted to see them so here they are. They are La Z Boy couches so they are really nice. We love them.
As you can see below, they recline which is awesome.
Isn't our Chase just so sweet?

Project

I have been meaning to recover my kitchen chairs for some time. Now that I have done it I can't believe I didn't do it 4 years ago when we first bought them! Heres the pics of my before and after.
I never liked the fabric on these chairs but I really liked the design of the table and chairs so we got them anyway.
Jack had fun working with me all morning on our project. He especially liked the staple gun, screw driver and scizzors...he is such a guy!
Taking them apart.
The finished product! By the way, I got the fabric at a discount fabric store for only $8! Plus $2.50 for the staples and a few hours of work and ...viola! New chairs!!

Sooo Lucky!

Jack got into the kitchen drawer, found the permanent sharpie marker and wrote all over himself! My heart skipped a beat when I found him but I was so lucky...he only wrote on his own body. The carpet, brand new 1 day old couches, walls etc were totally clean, phew! He looked pretty funny with the marker all over him though.

Hiking on Mt. Lemmon

We went hiking on Mt Lemmon today and it was awesome! It is the monsoon season right now so it was really cloudy and cool up on the mountain. We really enjoyed the 60 degree weather and a break from the valley heat.

Ok, talk about a mini-me of Quinn!
They look so much alike!

Pretty good pic of the whole family, Jack really enjoyed his stick!

Can you tell that I am standing right in the middle of a cloud?

Man, what a cheerful Chase! We love that grin.

Drying off in the car after we got poured on! We were drenched but it was way fun to hike in the rain, so refreshing.

4th of July in Mesa

Our 4th of July was spend in Mesa at the Grandma & Grandpa Nixon Resort & Spa. Resort because of the swimming pool and spa because of the yoga and pilates we did together. Thanks for letting us come and stay again! Enjoy the pics!

Visiting the ducks that live right by Grandma and Grandpa's house

Walking home from seeing the Ducks Wahoo Dad and G-ma

Yes, mom does rock sometimes!
The tip onto the couch, his fav part of horsey rides

He held on all by himself while I ran all of the house, strong boy!

Grandpa and the 2 boys

Jack started with the mop and now rides everything!

Just cute boys

Our 4th of July picnic: Phoenix style... Inside!!
First corn on the cob, yummy!

Our little fam (minus Chase) at the fireworks. A thunderstorm came through an hour before the show so it wasn't 105 degrees! More like 95, chilly:)

The Nixon men, 3 generations of pilots (maybe:)

We went indoor simulator golfing, talk about Phoenix sports in the summer, it was awesome. The guy who owns it let military people golf for free on the 4th so we paid just $15 for the rental instead of the $45 it would have cost, sweet! Yes, we really did drink all those beers! ha ha NOT
Golfing is hard!
The simulator was really nice. Go Dad!

Rockin' R Ranch

We had a blast at the ranch!! It was so fun to be there with the whole family and not have one person missing (except for Dad). It was especially great for our little family to have Quinn with us, we wouldn't have enjoyed it much without him. Thanks mom for taking us on an unforgetable little vacation!

Yehaw! Jack loved the horses.
Great pic of some of the folks chillin, wish I had more pics like this.
The hay ride

Relaxing in the canoe
Good family picture!
I loved to see Jack and Elsa holding hands. They do this quite often, so precious.
Taking a much needed water break...glad to have my hubby back!
